I have to say: If Heath faked his death I believe he will come back. Because keeping your face hidden and don't go to places where many people are.. That's a thing you can do for like what - a couple of years. But not for the rest of one's life! He can never just walk on the street without wearing sunglasses or caps - he will technically never be a free man. And he coulnd't play with his daughter on a meadow and whatever a father wants to do with his child outside. To hide yourself for a whole life.. That's just not human.
It was pretty irrelevant, but i thought that was interesting about him and his sister. Sorry
Hey did anyone watch the People's Choice awards last night?
TDK won all five awards they were nominated for. Christian Bale said,"this is for Heath" in his speech. He looked pretty serious,i just don't know what to think. It was sad you know?
The whole thing is strange, either that family wasn't very friendly with eachother and that's why they weren't invited or there's something Heath has planned and only wanted his closest knowing.
Yea why was Cate Blanchett invited, and not even his own Godparents? How would the family even know to invite her,or that they were friends. They might as well of invited Julia Stiles or Joseph Gordon Levitt or Kate Hudson,or Mel Gibson.I mean they were all costars.
And yes, spending two weeks with your family to say goodbye if you are planning to duck for a while is a good idea, specially when you are so close to them.
Well. I think people would wonder if Christian Bale didn't say that.I mean yeah - Like TDK was so succesfull because of his performance. Haha. It was good but Heath kicked ass.. If this all has to do sth with TDK and Nolan's in on it then they need to act like that because it must look authentic.
BTW: I don't know if it's real but here's an autopsy picture of 2Pac..Someone shows me a good and real one with Heath on it I'll shut up :D
You don't know if we'll never know! If he shows up at the Oscars, then we'll definitly know that he was talking about it with his family, haha.
I was thinking about this today, however... Right now I say that there's a 10% chanse he's still alive. I say this because of all the clues that fit together so nicely like puzzle pieces. His death, however...there's a 90% chanse he's dead, but...the puzzle pieces don't fit. It's like when they almost fit, but you can't get that one last piece in. The puzzle isn't completed. The only reason people beleieve he died is because the media said so. But the media lies, sometimes, right? What if this is when they lied?
Michael Hutchence of INXS was born January 22,1960. Heath died January 22,2008.The years have nothing to do with it but the dates, yes.
They were quite similar in a few ways, they were both Australian, they had a similar sense of style,oh yea and they both dated Helena Christensen, and she was heading to Heath's apartment the day he died.
Also, they were each found nude when they died.Hutchence had apparenly committed suicide, and Heath did too at first, but then it was changed to accidental overdose.Neither left a suicide note.
The only difference is that Hutchence had a large funeral and everyone actually looked sad,and wore black for respect.Heath had about 10 people at his because the whole family wasn't invited. Oh and they weren't all wearing black or showing much emotion at all.
Yeah the weird thing was that Heath's funeral was about only 2 weeks after his death. I understand that a family wants to have a funeral a quick as possible behind them but.. But he was a god damn celebrity for god's sake! There are certainly many people and relatives who knew and liked him and wanted to say goodbye in an accurate ways. And that they didn't even invite most of the family.. SUSPICIOUS :D
This board is starten to liven up again. Oh, and I'm just curious as to what other people thing...
What if he never shows up again, and we finally get the ideas in our head that he's dead? But there's still SOMETHING missing about his death. I mean, come on. Nothing really fits. But what is it? What do you think is missing?
Oh, and other things. Fanta showed us a picture of 2pac's autopsy picture. Here are other pictures of Anna Nicole Smith and Chris Farley, dead. Pictures of Heath? None. Show me pictures of Heathy's dead body and then I will believe, just like Fanta, and probably the rest of us.
http://danielmountain.com/liveleak/death/chris-farley_files/farley2.jpg and especially that one, DO NOT LOOK AT THAT PHOTO IF YOU ARE EASILY BOTHERED BY DEAD THINGS. IT IS VERY GROSS.
But they both died of drug overdose. So did Heath. There are NO PHOTOS of him in this state. It is not reported that he puked. Nothing. As I said, even if he is really dead, THERE IS SOMETHING MISSING.
I dunno if you guys watched the same Critic's Choice Awards as I did last night because The Dark Knight only won one award for Best Action film unless you count Heath winning Best Supporting Actor then that's two.
BTW: I bawled when Heath won. The picture in the background, the speech, the 'what-ifs'. It was too much, I bawled.
I watched the Critic's Choice Awards and i was so happy that Heath Ledger won it was really nice how much everyone applauded it was so sad im hoping hes still alive heres the video
Thanks for posting the video link. What an emotional moment. It just makes me want to hug him so tight, just so he never slips away. I just wish there was such a thing as a time machine.
do you know what else thats odd out side his appartment was loads of people and newsreporters even before he was dead how did they know he was going to be dead or ill or hurt news cant spread that fast
That's a really good point, Hannah. I forget where I read it, but somebody else said that too. It's not like he just collapsed on the sidewalk where everyone could see him. He was in his apartment, which is on the 4th floor I THINK. So how did they know that he was dead/dying?
Oh, sorry for the double post, but I also found something out. It's official that TDK is going to be rereleasing January 23, 2009. Weird, huh? That one of his quotes said "When that happens, I'm going to drop dead and hibernate for a year..." and it will be a year after he died when the movie rereleases. AND the Oscar nominations have been moved to EXACTLY a year after he died. Suspicious....o:
hey guys, i know its a stupid question but do you think heath vomited when he died? i don't know how a pill overdose looks like, and farley died of a heroin overdose or something so i can understand why his pictures looked so gruesome but was it the same for heath?
To the last post: I also wondered about this.It is no where reported that there was puke lying in his bed.And to Duckii, that's really a good point.Where did they know from he's dead before 'he' was taken out in this body bag?
Well even if nothing will happen on the oscars or in the third batman movie whatsoever I will still be proud of us that we are so open minded and tried to figure out what's wrong with all of this and didn't take everything the media says for serious. We are about 50 people who thought about this possibilty and googled it and that's how we came to this board.I wonder why we're the only ones.
Yes,because the whole situation is odd. We can all be honest,Heath wasn't huge in the media, and he wasn't on ET and Inside Edition every other night,or on many gossip sites, even though he had been famous for at least a decade. We didn't know he was troubled, the media like troubles half the time.Anyway,he just came out of nowhere and died.I guess it's because no one heard of his trials and tribulations,he was very private. Then this happened to him and suddenly every paparazzi in the city was at his apartment.Look at Brad Renfro,we didnt see a media craze where he lived,or even Anna Nicole Smith, she was mega famous at the time of her death. No,we see a media frenzy at Heath's apartment.Which is strange because Mary Kate was called and if the Paparazzi (or CNN?)have police(ham)radios they wouldn't of heard the calls to her, just the calls made to the police. How many split(New York)seconds can they all make it to his apartment right as his (rather small?)body is wheeled out.I could have seen one or two but the whole shebang.
I think It only took 7 minutes for the paramedics to arrive. I read posts where it was mentioned being much quicker than the normal arrival time you'd expect if you live in a large city such as New York.
How do you think the media found out and were there so quick and new it was him? I wonder what the masseuse said on the phone to 911? "Heath Ledger isnt breathing? Maybe she didnt say a name, she probably just said someone,or my customer, isnt breathing?
I mean,how would they KNOW?
Not that there in on it because that would be impossible.
One thing might be people listening to scanners that are tuned into police frequencies, if the address 421 Broome Street came across, the person listening might recoginize it, and start calling around to people they know, media included.
Why did Christopher Nolan say that Heath was one of the best actors they would PROBABLY ever have in the Critics choice awards? Is he giving us a clue?
Thanks Ducki. Watched the first link you gave. I've never seen even half of those pictures before. Now I'm going to the secound link. Saving both links to FAVORITES for hours of viewing pleasure. And this is why I don't believe he passed, he just seemed to be too resilient.
I think it's over guys. He is gone, if anyone has watched the award shows like I have, EVERY time they talk about and get awards for The Dark Knight or Heath, everyone is just so sad. It's horrible, Chris Nolan just accepted the award for Heath tonight at the Golden Globes, and he almost started to cry. The way he spoke and how everyone looked, it was such a depressing energy. I think Heath is gone now, it would be horrible for everyone. They're all so sad. You may reply to me or you may not, since most of you didn't the last time. We're beating around the bush now. -Kel
You always were on the fence about this. I think that 1. They are acting since they either are actors or know what acting looks like or 2. they aren't in on it. Thats coming from believing he is still alive. Then there's always the other side which says its just sad and its apparent when they talk about him.
I also watched it today and yes they all looked pretty sad, but that does not mean that he is dead! As Deak has said they are acting, or they are not part of it. I also noticed that Jake, Maggie and Aaron did not look sad..
I thought this was interesting. It shows the reaction of some people a month before January 22,2008 to an article about the last movie Heath was working on.
It was really sad even if it wasn't true. I guess just to get attention. But of course I guess they couldn't predict the future. Fans were sad and then relieved, but then the relief turned to sadness all over again.
i'm a believer but i have to say, what's so special about the oscars that people think he might show up there? why not at the golden globes? i don't get it. the only relative thing is the dates and stuff but besides that, he could show up anywhere, why the oscars?
I heard The Dark Knight had a budget of $185 million dollars. But I'm not sure what kind of budget of the movie the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus had. It's supposed to be released in 2009. I don't know if they found a distributer for it. I couldn't understand why on that. I don't know if I'll go see it in the theater or wait for it to come out on video. The marketing stragety seems to be pretty low key for this movie now. I don't know if it because it can't compete with the Dark Knight's popularity. Even though Heath's acting abilities always seem to shine through no matter what role he plays.
I've said it before, but I will say it again: I do think he is alive, but I really don't think he is coming back to the public eye. My reason for this is that I believe if he did this, it was for far better reasons than for TDK. Some people say he wouldn't do that to his daughter, but take it from somebody who has been to hell and back: if you think you are doing everybody a favor going away, you will do it without thinking twice...you either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain.
Did you see the Perez Hilton interview on Ryan Seacrest where they are talking about Heath being a big story for 2008, and Ryan starts talking about FAKING YOUR DEATH?!?!?
So we're now at the point where Best Supporting Actor is going to be announced. They show all the clips of those who were nominated--One being Ledger of course. Then the presenter opens the envelope..."And the Oscar goes to.....Heath Ledger!"
The theatre bursts with claps. Everyone is standing. Everyone is cheering. Ledger's Father, Mother, and Sister don't get up though. Instead they are laughing. The camera goes to Ledger's dad, who points to the upper left corner of the stage.....where Heath comes in. The crowd is shocked. There are gasps and cries. Heath walks to the presenter as if nothing is wrong, and while he does this, we hear more laughter. This time, not just from Ledger's family, but from Nolan, Bale, and the rest of the Dark Knight crew there at the awards that night.
Heath grabs the Oscar as the audience is confused, he puts his lips to the mic and says casually in his deep husky voice "Why so serious?" and the crowd goes crazy. There is yelling and booing....but then, more laughter. Not just from his Family, and The Dark knight Crew, but from Ryan Gosling, whom the camera goes to. Gosling is histarical. He's laughing and clapping. James Franco joins and then so does Sean Penn. Then Brolin. Clint Eastwood doesn't look amused. Niether does Meryl Streep. Hoffman is clapping but has a sad look on his face. Brad Pitt is laughing and looks around as if asking himself "Is this really happening?". Danny Boyle looks puzzled as does Mickey Rourke who just shakes his head in amusement. Garey Busey is jumping up in down with laughter. Anne Hathaway is crying, but out of happiness. Angenia Jolie, unlike her Husband, has a sad look on her face, with tears in her eyes. Soon enough either half of the whole audience is clapping and laughing, or booing and shouting. It's a mix of both. The crowd is crazy. The stars who are laughing, are on their knees in histarics, and those who are not happy are yelling and pushing chairs over. Ledger looks at this, smiles, then with his Oscar, walks with a stride in his step, off stage, leaving the crowd half in histarics, half in anger, and one of the best marketing ploys ever concieved! WB was of course the ones behind this, and they got permission from the Goverment to do such, so there would be no legal trouble.
Now I personally would not be mad at Ledger because:
1). I'm glad he's alive.
2). His family was in on it, so it's not like they were tortured for a year and a month thinking their son/brother was dead. I don't really care if any crazy fangirls cried when he died. It's their own damn fault they got so attatched. Plus these are the same fangirls who said things like "I'd give anything to have him back" but then if he were actually alive "He tricked us! I hate him. I hope he rots in hell."
Personally I would love Ledger even more if this happened. I would find it to be hilarious as the crowd goes into chaos. It would make my night...no my year.
Following the emotional speech given by The Dark Knight director, Christopher Nolan on Sunday, the parents of the late Heath Ledger have announced that the actor's Golden Globe award will be given to his young daughter, Matilda.
Reuters reports on Tuesday that the parents of the late actor were filled with pride from their son's win for his performance as Joker in the recent Batman flick. They expect all of Ledger's accolades to be given to his only child, Matilda, when she is older.
"It is such a fantastic and wonderful legacy for his daughter. Matilda will have so many people who will be able to speak to her about her father's abilities and respect he had in the industry. That is such a wonderful legacy to leave," Ledger's mother, Sally Bell told People Magazine.
Matilda Rose Ledger, 3, is the daughter of Ledger and actress Michelle Williams. The couple were engaged to be married but separated a few months before Ledger's death in January 2008.
They are not chitchatting, people magazine and the rest of those bozos keep harrasing his family for comments...I'd say, Kim and Sally have handled all this pretty well. :D
Today I asked a friend of mine:(she doesn't know anything bout this board and stuff)
"What would you do if any dead celebrity would kind of come back? Say Like..." -"Heath Ledger?" - "Right. What would you do?" -"I would get a heart attack and scream and be happy."
An NYPD legend who trained generations of cops to hunt down killers has been muzzled and he says the evidence points to his criticism of the handling of actor Heath Ledger's death.
Retired Lt. Commander Vernon Geberth, whose "Practical Homicide Investigation" is required reading in law enforcement, has been a top draw at the NYPD's acclaimed murder seminar for 29 years. When this year's lineup of speakers was announced, Geberth's name was missing.
"I go all over the country and world, sharing what I know. It is strange not to be welcome in my own backyard," Geberth said.
The weeklong annual clinic, mainly for NYPD investigators, also attracts sleuths from the MTA, state police and even Pennsylvania departments. It began this week.
Supporters within the police department said Geberth was bounced from the program for criticizing the NYPD for how it dealt with the fatal overdose of "The Dark Knight" star in a SoHo loft last January.
After a panicked masseuse found the dead actor, the woman twice called Ledger's star pal Mary Kate Olsen before finally dialing 911. Geberth criticized the NYPD's decision not to question Olsen about the phone calls.
Several NYPD insiders said those pointed comments cost Geberth his spot at the homicide podium this week.
Deputy Police Commissioner Paul Browne said the decision had nothing to do with the Ledger investigation. He declined to comment further.
Other top brass said the veteran investigator was told in 2007 not to promote his books so heavily and to tone down the comedic tone of his presentation. They said his lecture last January showed no improvement.
"The presentation was considered unprofessional," one ranking officer said.
Geberth scoffed at the criticism.
"At no time was I ever chastised for unprofessional conduct, and saying that is really low," said Geberth. "Character assassination is reprehensible."
Last February, the NYPD sent Geberth a synopsis of evaluations by attendees which ranked his seminar as the most informative and insightful.
Plus, all the time you see youtube take videos off and a lot of times when you go to watch a video a message appears that due to copyright's the audio can no longer be heard, but the video can still be watched. If the government was really in on this and it was such a top secret, wouldn't they have forced youtube to ATLEAST take away the audio.....
^^^^hey do you know anything^^^^ it would be mean but good, confusing but sense making, sad but happy! It would have all the emotions under the sun and i love the pediction WE JUST HAVE TO BE PAITENT! i cant be paitent alot like the people on this blog IF ANYONE KNOWS THE TRUTH PLEASE STAND UP AND SPEAK WE WANNA KNOW STOP HIDING THINGS!
A lot of things will be answered on the night of the Oscars. There will be closure for some of the people and acceptance for others. Everything will come to a head soon..
Why will there be acceptance? The ones who hope he will return at the oscars will think or hope that Heath will reappear in the third Batman movie if it's not the oscars. Believe there is no closure.
There is always closure in life... If not for you then for others. Sometimes things don't turn out the way you expect or want them to. You will see this at the Oscars. The answers that people have been asking will be answered some will accept it others will not.
This might be really screwed up but for the sake of these boards I want everyone here to describe their actual worst case experiences with drugs or mixing drugs, prescription mostly, but something that you've LIVED THROUGH. Very important. Ill go first. I am being very serious here, and you know where I am going with this.
I once was suicidal in my life, high school to be exact. I took an entire bottle of aspirin, an unopened, new bottle of aspirin. Never went to the hospital or got my stomach pumped, but threw up for literally days. Im still here, 6 years later no internal problems whatsoever. Lived.
On another more serious occasion in college once I got rrrreeaaaaallly unbelievably drunk, and mixed Percoset (Oxycotton) and Vicotin and snorted it because I was being a drunk idiot and people dared me too. Passed out instantly. My friends were just as drunk so they were never watching to see if I needed to go to the hospital, but I made it through the night. Never threw up either.
These experiences I was describing are 100% true. I am just curious if anyone has done anything way more serious and lived to tell about it. As the official report concludes, "Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine." So according to this report, Heath took Diazepam (Valium), temazepam (Restoril) and alprazolam (Xanax) . Oh, and doxylamine (Unisom). Its a sleep aid. Would Heath take ALL these prescriptions at once without thinking it could mess him up or kill him!!!???? I personally don't think he would have, unless he was suicidal or something, which is a ridiculous notion. Or is it? Im not taking sides here. This whole theory that Heath faked his death I neither acknowledge nor deny. I have an open mind about all this, and with an open mind comes exploring every viable possibility, and provoking thought!!! :P
Hello! I'm Scarlett. I guess I'm not a 100% believer... But you can sign me in your list). It's obvious that some facts about Heath's death are really strange... I'm gonna read this board from the very beginning to learn more..
Apparently the roster of Oscar presenters is not being revealed to the public so as to not give away any "surprise" presenters....
Does it keep getting odder or what? First, the nominations are announced one year to the day of Heath Ledger's death...then the ceremony is a month after his death...then, they don't give out who is going to be a presenter to "surprise" people??
Oh COME ON. Are we that stupid???
The biggest mind screw in the history of cinema is about to be perpetrated on everyone. Two days til the anniversary.
Something to think about...if Heath faked his death and reappears at Oscars...they should re-release Dark Knight in the theaters...the publicity alone would vault it past Titanic as the biggest grossing movie of all time.
GUYS! i haven't been following this forum for a while so can someone maybe update me a bit? i haven't been on here since like 700 or so...but anyway if someone could update me that'd be great- i have just read an article about Heath in Entertainment- if anyone has it (black and white pic of Heath on the front and it says Heath Ledger The Untold Story) it's page 27- Alexander: Heath liked to torture me, in a playful way. He'd say, "I'm going to disappear after The Dark Knight."
I don't know about you guys, but a while back when the story came out that Michelle was hearing noises and saw a shadow in the house and she thought it was Heath's ghost, the first thing that came to my mind when I read that was "that was no ghost, that was him checking on Matilda".
that was a post by... someone idk a while ago but i agree and 2 more points that i'm bringing up once again
no tombstone wrong name on his death certificate
sorry, just haven't been on here in a while as i said-i'm catching up, reading everything
OHHH wait my bad this board isn't quiet,i just couldn't see the comments. Back to normal. So yea this is getting even stranger, but the more strange equals more hope that he is alive.i've been reading some pretty valid points.i just hope he comes back at the Oscars.that would be legit
that article said,"At this point, the Academy is willing to do anything to boost ratings."
okay this forum is getting ridiculous. i've been here since the beginning and it used to be speculation and things but wow we're getting way off topic and far-fetched. ever since 7/27 it seems that people are stumbling across this blog, thinking to mess with us by TaLkInG like that. i think if it was 7/27, we would know. and frankly that whole "medium" thing sounds...ridiculous. anyone can get on here and claim anything, you know?
heath would have to show himself before oscars cause there is no way he could just sneak into the oscars on feb 22nd just like that. unless everyone knows which would be a very hard secret to contain
oh my gosh, i apologize for my stupidity i probably should not have posted until i read the whole thing-i'm never staying away from this forum for that long again. i'm finally up to date, though. and i agree that if Heath staged his death, his family would probably be in on it.
geez. i'm sorry guys, ignore everything i said in the past three posts.
Wait - what? Somebody said a few posts back that the wrong name was on his death certificate - do you have proof of this? What name was actually on there? This is the first I've heard of this development....and the plot thickens..
Why does this say that his family spent $25,000 on a casket?? Cremated people don't need caskets...unless..maybe they bought one for a wake or something??? Argh! All of this madness...
Ledger's longtime agent and close friend Steve Alexander said the actor had not wanted the pressure that he believed would come with being an Oscar winner.
"I think on a really basic level, Heath thought, 'I'd rather not be the guy who wins the Academy Award really young and then has to live up to that'," Alexander said.
"(He thought) 'I want to be a little freer, I don't want to make choices based on something I'm trying to hold onto'."
Ledger's friend Nicola Pecorini, who was cinematographer on the actor's films The Order and Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, said The Dark Knight star expressed excitement about missing out on the Academy Award.
"Heath was extremely relieved he didn't win the Oscar," Pecorini said.
one more thing i though i would share from another blogger
MICHAEL BADEN - who fabricated evidence in John Kennedy's murder to make it seem Oswald killed Kennedy - was involved in the Heath Ledger autopsy and briefed the press. Baden is a cover-up artist. Recall that the initial reports on cause of death were weird. It was announced that the cause could not be determined - about 10 days before the examination was even completed.
i'm not sure anymore- it says his legal name is Heath Ledger and below it says aka's or aliases are Heath Andrew Ledger but i was for some reason under the impression that his legal name was Heathcliff Andrew Ledger...not sure, any thoughts?
and to 1/22/2009 2:53 PM, i also read something like that in the article about Heath in Entertainment magazine recently, but in that article it also said something about how Heath really loved the beginning scene of Dark Knight and how he knew he'd done something special..i have a feeling he might have wanted to win this particular one.
I didn't see where it specifically says burial, but it does list 'Fremantle Cemetery' on there, and I don't see the logic in having a cemetery handle a cremation, because we had my mother cremated in 2002, and the whole thing was handled by the funeral home, the cemetery was never involved. So what's up with that, I wonder?
As far as it not having his full name on it seems like to me could be a very efficient loophole in avoiding any criminal charges if his death was faked and he does return to the public eye. Could just be me though.
And that guy that was involved with JFK's assassination was seriously involved with Heath's autopsy? That's insane...wow...
NEW YORK, Jan 22, 2009 (UPI via COMTEX) -- The New York apartment where Australian actor Heath Ledger died a year ago Thursday still hasn't been rented out to a new tenant, sources say. Ledger, who was posthumously nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar Thursday for his work in "The Dark Knight," died of an accidental prescription drug overdose on Jan. 22, 2008. He was 28. The New York Post said millionaire philanthropist Donald Burns, the owner of the Manhattan building where the actor had been renting a three-bedroom loft, hasn't re-rented the apartment. It had been on the market, but was taken off last month, the Post said. "It's completely empty. Everything's been taken out," a source told the newspaper. "Nobody is allowed up there."
You know what's weird,Heath's apartment rent was about $26,000 a month. I know he was a celebrity, but he only had like $1ook in different banks and $145k in assets. That seems like nothing for a movie star. What's that about five months of rent? Where did all his money go? I wonder if he spent it all,and he only had a Toyota Prius.I guess he was planning to bank on TDK.
If he is faking his death,i dont see how the government could be involved.Joe Bidens wife wouldnt keep that secret hahahah.
on the death certificate, there's an X on "burial", which is next to the cremation box. so he was buried, not cremated. if you want to see the death certificate, scroll up, it should be on this page.
I think his ancestors are buried there. There is no headstone for him (!) which is unusual. They were going to scatter his ashes. I think the whole thing is suspicious. Also the fact that they are not announcing the presenters of the Oscars until that night which is unusual in itself. Is there going to be a surprise or something? There are too many unanswered questions. His death cert looks fake too. I read that he did see a few minutes of the Dark Knight and he was totally blown away by it. Maybe he panicked thinking that this role was going to put him more in the public eye than ever and he wasn't able to deal with the pressure. What I wish to see on Oscars night is this. They announce the best actors nominees and then a hush falls over the crowd as the envelope is opened..A pause and then Heath Ledger. Instead of Chris Nolan coming out someone walks out onto the stage. Everyone stands up and some people scream in surprise and shock and then clap really loudly and cheer. The presenter gives the Oscar having been briefed before as to what happens. Then silence and his unique husky voices laughs and says wow I wasn't really expecting this. So I really fooled you guys didn't I. I thought some of you would have worked it out what with the Joker faking his death in the movie. Of course it would be Heath. I really hope thats what happens. Even if he doesn't collect the award I hope he is happy. :D
Hi guys, Does anyone think there is something wrong with Ledger's death? First there is the ladder! What are they trying to do rescue a cat! It took two weeks to bring back Ledger's body to Down Under(Australia) won't his body be smellling wrong,THAT'S RIGHT HE'S NOT DEAD if you take two weeks to bury a person and Michelle Williams goes back to work within 48 hours of his funeral (won't you be grieving.)It took a week or more to return to school after my father died when I was 13.I was still grieving badly I was in primary school but I was going to return the next year as it was so bad.Why was he's funeral private without no fans attending his funeral you would think they had the sense to invite his fans. His family and friends weren't sad about his death they were happy at his wake. Michelle gets a new boyfriend Spike Jonze five months after Heath's death. You wont do that if he really died, i know it would take me at east two years before i started dating again if Ledger was my ex-boyfriend and father of my child. The way Michelle treats Matilda like shit, drags her around town while she sips on a coffee and watches out for the paps. Won't you keep a eye on your daughter. The girl may or maynot have lost her father and you are treating her like that shame on Michelle. She is now smiling with her new boyfriend Spike Jonze she never did that when Ledger was around she look dopey and sad around Ledger. She even has the same bloody facial expression since he died. She may not have loved Ledger that much but don't you think this is all to weird. Tell me what you think.....
To Above post at 7:34PM,i don't know if you've read any of the other blog comments but thats what we've already been talking about for a year now. 1518 comments and counting. We know everything you said. Except, the Matilda part.I think shes just alittle hippyish.Shes no Suri, thats for sure.I'm sure shes being treated well though.
And to comment at 12:51PM, he wasn't nominated for best actor,it's supporting actor.Let's not give our hopes up though!
Sorry I've been busy.It was my birthday yesterday :D I got a HUGE Joker Poster :P Well yeah Heath was obsessed with Nick Drake because he appreciated his music so much. He also directed a music video where Heath plays a role and drowns in the end. Nick Drake died of an overdose of antidepressants. I really want to know what's up with the Van that was stolen right after Heath 'died'.I guess I'll google it again.
Hey Fanta, I remember reading about that. Seemed strange at the time. It was valued at $70,000.00. For some reason it went "missing" and his father appealed for it to be returned. Heath loved that truck. He spent loads on restoring it. I wonder was it really stolen after all. Oh BTW Happy Birthday! :D Did you get anything nice?
Something struck me as odd....I don't know if anyone else saw it or not, but on the TV Guide Channel out here where I'm at, they've been airing a special called "Heath Ledger: A Hollywood Tragedy," and I watched it last night, and if any of you read the news on imdb.com (I'm always on that site lol) it had transcripts of comments that Heath's sisters and father made after finding out about his Oscar nomination...
Anyway, after reading those comments, I began to think "well maybe he really is dead afterall" because it seemd like such heartfelt words from his family, but THEN I saw the video of where they actually delivered these comments to the media...and all three of them; Ashleigh, Kate, and Kim, were reading their statements off of a piece of paper. Showed absolutely no emotion whatsoever. The whole thing was scripted...
To me it just kinda takes away from the authenticity of the entire thing...I wouldn't read from a paper for something like that. If I'd lost my brother or my son, and he'd been nominated for a posthumus Oscar, I would've winged it and made it natural, and said what I felt.
As I write this, I'm searching for a video to share with you guys so you'll see what I mean. I'll also post the comments from his family here in a sec for those that haven't seen them yet. Back in JUST a minute!
"Today is the anniversary of Heath's passing," sister Kate Ledger told Australian media Thursday, reading from a prepared statement obtained by E! News. "To us (his family) it seems like merely yesterday and we are still all nursing broken hearts. Like anyone who loses a family member, it has opened our eyes to the intense suffering and painful journey that is death.
"We feel truly blessed to have Heath's beautiful daughter, Matilda, and her lovely mom, Michelle, in our lives. And although we are physically challenged at times by the tyranny of distance, we are always in constant contact and take every opportunity possible to catch up. Michelle is doing an amazing job with 'our girl' and together we will cherish every moment of her steps through life."
Added Heath's half-sister, Ashleigh Bell: "Today is also a day for us to celebrate, with the news of Heath's Oscar nomination. Although we would love to have him here with us, we are so proud and so excited on his behalf. In Heath's words, he had 'the time of his life' portraying the Joker and said that it was the most fun he'd ever had making a film. On Heath's behalf we thank the Motion Picture Academy for recognizing his work.
"What an unbelievable legacy he has left for Matilda and our family. We will take this opportunity today to honor his wonderful life and take comfort in knowing Heath will continue to touch future generations through this amazing art form."
This is from eonline.com, I can't seem to find a transcript of what his father said, but I'm still looking.
This is the only video I can find so far. I'm sorry, but it doesn't seem like a very distraught family to me...
How can they say all that without crying. It's sad just listening to it. They were related to the guy. LedgerHead is absolutely right, where is the emotion??
Yes but i remember that at some previous award show they did not show Heath either.... but i was happy that he won. To the post that is above me: we already know about that web site :) T.....
A year ago the Oscar memorial tribute was badly handled and very disappointing, but the BAFTA and SAG memorials were magnificent. Both of them saved Heath for last and put extra emphasis on him.
I agree with LedgerHead - There's absoluteley no emotion! I would hire some assistant who would talk to the media cause I would cry like a cry-baby damn it. And there's this video which was made like 3 weeks after he died and you can just see Lether's Dad with sunglasses reading something from a paper. It could might as well been acted. And yeah, well all know heathledgerisnotdead.blogspot.com :)
What I wanted to say: Today I've read that the next Batman Movie is planned for 2011.There really are rumors all over the net about it - check it.
Uslan will be onboard as executive producer for the "Dark Knight" sequel, which he estimates will be theaters by 2011. As for the identity of the next round of Batman's supervillains and love interests, Uslan remains tight-lipped. "It's one of those deals where if I told you, I'd have to kill you," he says with a chuckle.
Hey there is another website that has conspiracy theories of Ledger's death and its says It was reported on CNN.com, that investigators were under the impression that the body that was found in the hotel could be the body of Heath Ledger's brother who convieniently had Heath's ID card on him. The report also stated that witnesses in New York city saw Heath Ledger at a bar earlier that night drinking. Ten minutes after the article covering this situation appeared on CNN.com, it was taken off. Sound fishy?
Heath had arranged a massage later that afternoon, and was also currently filming a movie in England. He was a successful and low-key actor that preferred to stay out of tabloids. That type of fame does not drive someone to kill themselves. There are no motives behind the suicide.
It can be assumed that Ledger was using certain drugs and who knows- he could have seem some crazy drug shit go down and is now in the witness protection program. It's all a scam. There's no solid evidence that the body found is actually the body of Heath Ledger. When people are involved in government programs, their future as that person is completely erased. The only evidence that the American public has seen was something in a black body bag. what do you think about this?
^^^^ Please provide a link. I never heard any of that. Also a question? Who started this rumour that Heath had faked his death? Do people think he will turn up at the Oscars to collect his award? I have read the Blogger everyone is talking about but he seems to be clutching at straws in his desperation... If he doesn't come out at the Oscars will people realise they have had their hopes raised for nothing or will they still be in denial. Did anyone ever find out who emailed the Blogger in his YouTube about them saying he was right. He never answered or got nothing back from the person. Was he telling the truth? There seem to be a lot of questions asked here but nobody has the answers. Another film star Brad Renfro died a week before. There were no photos of his body. Do people think he faked his death too? I only ask these questions with the utmost of respect but It's been a year now and I have a feeling that he won't turn up at the Oscars. Some people don't feel ready to accept his death. Maybe thats where these rumours are coming from. I think people are looking for answers when there is none. Now before people start flaming me this is just MO. What people have to remember is that Heath's family are very private the funeral was private, but also they probably didn't want to show their emotions to the public. Look at John Travolta he lost a son recently. People grieve in different ways. There was a funeral at the Frank E Campbell Funeral home where co stars of Heath viewed his body and said one final goodbye. Just because they aren't crying and weeping on camera doesn't mean they aren't grieving. I'm going to watch the Oscars because I know that Heath deserves to win for The Joker but I don't think he's going to turn up. I've read peoples comments and I'm not trying to be mean but don't get your hopes up high but if people want to hope that he is going to turn up then fine. I would like to know though who came up with the thought that he faked his death :S I'm still puzzled over that. I wouldn't necessarily believe everything the Blogger has read. Maybe I'm sceptical! xoxo H
8.55pm I found a link with that comment on it ;-) http://www.dissidentvoice.org/2008/01/on-the-death-of-heath-ledger/
I couldn't find anything on CNN. Maybe it was a sick hoax ;( I don't think Heath had a brother. I know he had 2 step sisters but not a brother. Especially not one that looked like him. I think that guy who posted the comments is a bit of an oddball. Hope that helps :D
My dad is about the same size as Heath. Same weight and almost the same height. So I wrapped my dad up in a sheet, and wrapped him up all the way. And you could see his ankles and his legs. You could not see Heath's legs, in the bodybag not even his feet. The sheet was supposed to serve the same purpose as the bodybag. And it worked quite well. Well if my dad is the same size as Heath and the sheet didnt make his legs look totally flat like the bodybag did. (also I put the sheet very tightly around him) Then it means Heath wasn't in the bag! See how flat his ankles are: http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/01_04/HeathEPA2301_800x548.jpg
Heath's ankles were never that flat, even if they're strapped down they wouldn't be able to make his legs look that flat. Not in million years! So Heath couldn't have actually been in the bodybag. I thank my dad for letting me do that, but he didnt even know why I did it cuz I tricked him into it. I thank my sister for helping me too. And my mom for giving me the idea. DON'T LOSE HOPE!
Did anyone see that Max Koch guy impersonating the joker? well it's pretty legit. he could seriously be in TDK2 as the joker, that's unless Heath comes back from vacation in BC.
The bitter dispute over Heath Ledger's $10 million life insurance policy has settled.
In legal papers filed in L.A. County Superior Court, a deal has been struck between ReliaStar Life Insurance Company and the lawyer representing Matilda Rose, Heath's daughter and the beneficiary of the policy.
TMZ broke the story that the insurance company was stalling because it had questions as to whether Ledger's death might have been a suicide, even though it was ruled accidental. ReliaStar also maintained Ledger may have lied on his insurance application when he said he never used illegal drugs. The company felt both issues could void the policy.
Matilda's lawyer filed a lawsuit claiming ReliaStar was acting in bad faith.
holy shitttt, has anyone watched the trailer for the game batman: arkham asylum?? i wish mark hamill weren't old, he would have made a great joker and i bet heath would have loved this game:
That's a good point @ the person who wrote at 12:38 pm. I just found out that Heath wanted to play in a music video for Modest Mouse's "King Rat" and Terry Gilliam wanted to animate it. That's pretty cool cause Modest Mouse is like the best band ever. To me. That was only 12 days before he 'died' :/
now that i think about it, a decoy being in the body bag wouldn't be so surprising... i mean, it would explain why his head bounced when they rolled him off the curb. i remember there being a discussion about how his head would be too heavy to make such a movement but a decoy explains it... don't yell at me, i'm a believer and i hope to god he's still alive and secretly filming batman 3 with christopher nolan (that would be so cool and would explain nolan's absence). here's what i bet happened, they used a decoy and heath escaped through another exit! bwahaha, oh he's still in that darn apartment! i wouldn't doubt it.
Producers of the Feb. 22 81st Annual Academy Awards telecast indicated Monday that it will offer a number of surprises but they gave little hint of what sort of surprises they intended to produce. Today's (Tuesday) New York Times reported that at the annual Oscar nominees luncheon at the Beverly Hilton hotel, Motion Picture Academy President Sid Ganis told the nominees that the show would carry "many, many risks" and that the nominees should "be prepared." He said producers Bill Condon and Laurence Mark had asked him to tell the nominees "to stay alert." The Times, citing people close to the show, said that this year's Oscars show will "have its own narrative line -- not merely handing out the awards, but doing it in a way that tells a story -- while including surprises that are designed to staunch the ratings erosion of recent years."
if you want a better understanding of heath and his troubles, i suggest you research him and nick drake, google it.
as for the faked death. most of this is speculation and complete nonsense, reread most of the posts, and just think about them, and you'll realize how completely ridiculous this all is. only person who can get away with faking their own death, is someone living in the 1970s look up a guy who recently tried to do it, it was all over the news recently. he faked a plane crash as an amateur pilot, parachuted out and ran off to his stash of shit miles away. um, no, he got caught and tracked down by the feds. as i said, there's too many paparazzi, too much evidence, too much technology, someone would know, someplace, somehow and someone would have already talked. there's no cult keeping some huge secret, no mystery, no big joke. you see meaning in things you want to see meaning in.
this is almost ridiculous as the third gunman scenario, but we all know jfk was shot by one guy, and the discovery channel proved that. look it up.
Obviously this site is only made for those who belive the actor is NOT dead. That is a negation. If you have nothing better to do and love to discourage other people then you must be a very ignorant person. Do you even know what conspiracy means?
Heath Ledger's death is not very reliable to believe. One should not believe in the media. One should believe in logic and common sense in order to understand this.
Your immature post is both stupid and pitiful. I guess you probably live under a rock. Wheather or not Ledger is alive is still a mystery and you are not going to discourage people like that with your negative opinion.
I understand why you would think that way. However, I would highly recommend that you read a bit more. Nothing specific, just broaden your horizons a bit. There ARE big secrets out there that the general public does not know about. How do I know? Because I know a few things that would make your world upside down. Not because I read it somewhere, but because I see it everyday in my line of work. Technology? Yes, techonology is so far advanced that it is unbelievable. But the general public does not have access to this kind of technology, what you have access to is merely a fraction of the technology that has been developed. I seriously doubt the feds would want to waste time and resources tracking down a guy that has not violated any laws or killed anybody and remember, there are loopholes in everything. So just keep your mind open and don't be too drastic in your opinions, just a recommendation from a friend. :D

I think you should practice what you preach my friend. Im as open minded as the next guy but at the same time I dont expect to see him at the Oscars. If people want to believe he faked his death im fine with it. What im not fine about is if someone posts a comment saying that they disagree with this blog that people have the right to be mean and tell them their comment is stupid and pitiful. I think thats a bit immature and disrespectful myself. The person posting that comment has a right to their opinion. They weren't being negative or rude or saying people are stupid for thinking he's alive blah blah. They were being respectful which is something I think you should be. I kind of find these responses annoying. Like the blogger said it's not your blog and its not a communist country. People are entitled to post their opinions agreeing or disagreeing. I have read the posts here some are worth thinking about and some are not. It's not your place to shoot someone down. It's not actually ONLY for people who believe the actor is dead. Its for everyone. Now i know there have been people who have been disrespectful and rude and fair enough they might have asked for it. 02/06/2009 didn't ask for it. I dont really care if people think im stepping out of line but it really makes me think about the level of maturity of some of the posters. Not all just the response that i've highlighted. Their opinions are just as much of value as anyone else here and there seems to be this whole oh Heath is Alive thing and if some people disagree then no they have to keep an open mind or their posts are stupid. No they are not. There seems to be a feeling that if you're not a "Believer" than you are in the wrong. Maybe the "Believers" should keep an open mind to the fact that maybe the guy is dead. I'm saying this with the greatest level of respect. Im shooting anyone down. I hope nobody will shoot me down. But i felt i had to stick up for that person. If you dont agree with someones opinion fine but dont put down their post as being pitiless and stupid. Have a bit of respect.
^^^^^ I can see your point. The person who posted that comment was a bit immature. You'll get some like that here. Not all the "Believers" as you put it are like that. They seem a pretty nice bunch. As you said this blog is about speculating the possibility that Heath IS alive. Its not saying that he is alive. I hope he is alive even if I dont see him at the Oscars. Im keeping an open mind.
its okay, people believe and don't believe. its always good to think on both sides. thats an open mind. its just how rude some people can be about this, in a way i guess i can understand.
They were both at fault, the first one for saying the theories presented here are ridiculous and the second one for going into a rampage and insulting the first one. It happens every so often, no big deal. Now, why don't we all just forget about it and have a group hug? :D
Funny with all that technology you speak of,they still haven't found Bin Laden.
I guess it's not impossible to be in hiding and not be found, especially when no ones looking for you, because they think you died of an overdose(Ledger).I guess if someone saw Heath, they might just take a second glance and say,"Nahh," because hes not just missing.
If these could only be on Unsolved Mysteries. I miss Robert Stack's voice.
Bin Laden you say??!!! Don't make me laugh, that's what we call a bedtime story. But let's not get into politics and such, this blog is about Heath. And I bet my beautiful derriere that if Heath was out there somewhere, nobody would be looking for him...not the feds anyway. :D
anyway last night i had a dream i was watching the Oscars or i was at the Oscars and they were just about to say the nominees for best supporting actor, and then my mom woke me up.
^^^^ Yeah his family are going to accept the Award if Heath wins which he will. His dad is going to make the acceptance speech. Michelle will look after the Oscar until Matilda reaches 18. She will then inherit the Oscar.
Uh no he won't. If you're expecting Heath to turn up on Sunday night you are in for an awful disappointment. His dad is going to accept the award for him. Heath isn't coming back. He's dead. RIP
DUDE HEATH IS GONNA TAKE IT AND GONNA SAY WHY SO SERIOUS WUT YOU THINK THIS WHOLE SECRET IS FOR THE OSCARS THEY ARE TAKING BIG RISK COME ON WILL SEE TOMM
Why type in capitals - it sounds like you're shouting. He's not going to come to the Oscars and say that. If you think he is then I'm sorry you are in for a disappointment. In case you haven't read his dad is going to accept the award if Heath wins. His dad will make the speech not Heath. Where have people gotten this idea from that Heath is still alive and he faked his death?
Apparently the anonymous poster that posted at 2:09pm today hasn't been reading the posts here, eh? If so, they would know where we got the idea that he faked his death...instead of having to have someone explain it all over again, why not read back through some of the posts? If you're that curious then you shouldn't mind taking the time to do so. I, for one, am tired of going through it over and over again as to why *I* think he may still be alive. Just look at the facts, I mean...seriously...
And granted, as much as I'd love to see a surprise appearance from him tomorrow night, I am not getting my hopes up. I think if he really went through all this trouble to fake his death, he won't undo all of that just to accept an Oscar that in all probability he doesn't even want. So anyway. And is anyone other than me tired of everyone feeling sorry for Michelle Williams all the time? "Oh she's still so devastated over Ledger's death." Yeah well not too devastated to cozy up with Spike Jonze...*starts humming "Mr. Jones" by the Counting Crows* And what's this nonsense on imdb.com about her not working since his death? That's a crock if I ever heard one!
I'm telling you, if she winds up being a part of the acceptance tomorrow night if he wins, I will be so disgusted...she needs to stay the hell away from his spotlight.. I realize that she's Matilda's mom and all, but she needs to get over herself. I fully believe she attributed to his death (if he really is dead) by keeping Matilda from him over the holidays in 07...
I actually did the comments from start to finish. No need to be a smart ass about it. I have looked at the facts and seriously he's dead. If you want to believe he is alive fine!It seems that people here are asking others to have an open mind and such like and when someone says I think he's dead they get jumped on or have their heads bitten off. Some people here can be so childish! FYI Michelle didn't keep Heath away from Matilda. Heath had access to Matilda. Yes Michelle was a bit hesitant with Matilda spending time with Heath because he had a drug problem. I have a kid and if my ex was into drugs the way Heath was I would be hesitant to let him spend time with her alone. Her and Heath were close. Despite what haters of Michelle think she did actually love him. She was devestated when he died. Didn't you read any of the interview where she spoke about him.
Woah take easy! The other poster probably thought that you didn't know why people thought he faked his death - that you hadn't read the whole blog. If you read the posts again there is a lot of inconsistancies raised over Heath dying like the body bag and Mary Kate. Check out this guys blog http://www.heathledgerisnotdead. It's very interesting some of the comments that were posted here were raising the questions and speculating about what really happened. A lot of stuff is interesting and it does raise questions. Im not too sure about the whole Michelle thing. Because her and Heath had a kid they are always going to be linked no matter who she ends up with. If Heath does win the Oscar then Michelle will be the beneficary of it until Matilda reach's 18. I read the stories about her seeing Heaths ghost - Michelle that is not Matilda. I think it would be nice if he was around in the afterlife to look after them. As for the whole he's dead/ he's not dead thing lets agree to disagree. Some people have strong beliefs over this and whether he turns up or not on Sunday its not going to stop people hoping. I'm going to watch on Sunday to see if he does turn up. I will be disappointed as hell if he doesn't. I don't know if I'll realise he's dead or if it proves another point someone else made that if he has faked his death we're not going to see him again. If he is alive I hope he's happy. Let's all be friends and see what happens on Sunday night! :D
This year for best supporting actor you have Robert Downey Jr. in blackface and then you have Heath Ledger. So how do write something like that?
Actually, this year we're going to do supporting actor differently and I'm not allowed to tell you how. It's one of those state secrets that I've been sworn not to reveal. And since the New York Times described me as tight-lipped and I got a lot of dates after that, I've decided I have to remain that way. Otherwise they'll beat me around the head with an Oscar and I'll get loose-lipped. But it's an unusual year in that category. http://www.salon.com/ent/tv/int/2009/02/21/bruce_vilanch/index1.html
THIS IS THE GUY WHO WRITES THE OSCARS COME ON MAN THESE HINTSS WHATS GONNA HAPPEN TOMM CANT WAITTT MY BLOG FAMILY
I meant no offense and I did not intend my post to come across as jumping on anyone. You asked why people thought he was alive, all I suggested was that if you didn't know why we felt that way, that maybe you should go back and read some of the other posts. Chill out, don't be so sensitive. I don't come here to jump on anybody about believing what they want to believe. It's a free country afterall the last time I checked.
I was simply stating that I've been posting here for a while, like tons of others, and I just get tired of defending my stance on why I feel that he could still be around, that's all. I apologize if it was taken out of context. There's too many Heath haters out there to argue with without arguing amongst ourselves.
And also, just on a side note, Michelle herself has even said that Heath's drug use (or lack thereof as reported by many many of his close friends) had nothing to do with her decision on splitting from him. What I meant by her keeping Matilda from him was over the holidays in 2007, when she kept Matilda with her where she was located at overseas instead of allowing him to see her over the holidays. I don't know a parent out there that wouldn't be devastated not to be able to see their kids over Christmas and such.
Anyway, all of this is beside the point. Tonight is the big night. I'm not getting my hopes up that Heath will show up tonight, but I am excited, soooo excited to see if he nabs that Oscar and if he does, how people will react to it. (All though I know probably 60% or more people out there will say that he simply won it out of pity, to which I will vehemently disagree).
Big big night for Heath, his family, his friends, and his fans! Let's not fight, let's be excited! :D I know I am! What do you say guys? Bygones and all that? :)
hey guys, finally here-sorry i've been gone for a while. i am SO excited for the Oscars, even if Heath makes no appearance, i still just can't wait to see him win (which i'm sure he will) and okay happy birthday a month late to fanta, and to anonymous that asked about what i said at 3:33, i wish i knew what i said as well haha i can't remember. and to ledgerhead-i noticed the "heath ledger a hollywood tradgedy" as well, was planning to watch it but forgot.. and yes you're right, theres no emotion as his family speaks about him - i mean people say everyone deals with things differently but you'd think, after all this time the shock wearing off and everything, that someone would be at least a bit upset.. and oh my - anonymous post 1/28/2009 8:53 pm WOW you're definitely right, i mean just look theres no way anyone's ankles are that skinny. alright everyone i really want to say that i don't think heath will make some grand appearance tonight..he doesn't strike me as the type of person to do that if he faked his death. if he did fake his death, i think it would be just to get out of the spotlight, especially after his huge role as the joker, he must have known he would be followed everywhere now. but either way i'm a believer. don't let it disappoint you if nothing happens!
and by the way, to all of you who keep coming on here "heath's dead rip" i don't know what to say anymore, we keep telling you this is merely a place to question his death, we aren't saying for sure one thing or the other. anything is possible, but clearly there are enough people on here to say that without a doubt his death's circumstances are suspicious. maybe you shouldn't trust the media so much.
OH and to the post right above me, i also disagree with those who say he will only win because he died. heath did a SPECTACULAR job as the joker, more than oscar-worthy. it has nothing to do with pity.
MORE than a year after his death, Heath Ledger's image still haunts one of the women who found him.
On the eve of the celebrated Australian actor's posthumous Academy Award bid, New York housekeeper Teresa Solomon told how she has nightmares about his shock death last January.
"I've been through a lot. I can't sleep, sometimes I wake up at night. I still see him," she said.
Ms Solomon and Ledger's massage therapist Diana Wolozin found him dead from a prescription drug overdose on the night of January 22.
She told police she noticed him snoring, face-down in bed at about 1pm.
Police believe Ledger, 28, died some time between then and about 2.45pm when Ms Wolozin went into his room to prepare a massage table.
Ms Solomon described Ledger as a good boss and a sincere person.
She said he was surprisingly neat and respectful of her as his housekeeper.
"Every time I go there, it's always organised," she said.
"He did his own laundry.
"The last time I was there, all the dishes were in the sink and he had put the water in there for me."
She is hoping he will take out the Oscar for best supporting actor at today's Academy Awards.
"I hope he wins, I think he will win," she said.
A US court will tomorrow formally sign off on a settlement over Ledger's $A15 million life insurance policy.
A lawyer friend of Ledger's, John LaViolette, had planned to sue Insurer Reliastar claiming the insurer was refusing to pay out the policy to Ledger's three-year-old daughter, Matilda.
The insurer had allegedly baulked over concerns that Ledger committed suicide, a theory scotched by the New York Medical Examiner who confirmed he died from a prescription drug overdose.
While Ledger is hot-favourite to win the best supporting actor Oscar for his chilling portrayal of The Joker in Batman blockbuster The Dark Knight, he was not nominated at yesterday's Spirit awards ceremony which was attended by Michelle Williams, mother of Ledger's daughter Matilda.
Ledger was nominated for best actor at the independent Spirit Awards in 2006 for his performance as a closeted gay cowboy in Brokeback Mountain but missed out to Philip Seymour Hoffman, who picked up the Oscar the following night for his role in Capote.
Comeback tale The Wrestler swept the Spirit Awards, winning best picture and best actor for Mickey Rourke.
Held on the eve of today's Academy Awards, the Independent Spirit Awards featured several winners also up for Oscars, including three of the four acting choices - Rourke, best actress nominee Melissa Leo for Frozen River and supporting actress favourite Penelope Cruz for Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
In past years, several Spirit Award winners have gone on to earn Oscars, including Charlize Theron for Monster and Hilary Swank for Boys Don't Cry

«Oldest ‹Older 1401 – 1600 of 2100 Newer› Newest»I have to say: If Heath faked his death I believe he will come back. That's just not human.
duckii-
It was pretty irrelevant, but i thought that was interesting about him and his sister.
Will we ever find out?
Yea why was Cate Blanchett invited, and not even his own Godparents? How would the family even know to invite her,or that they were friends. They might as well of invited Julia Stiles or Joseph Gordon Levitt or Kate Hudson,or Mel Gibson.I mean they were all costars.
Sketchy.
Thanks for the correction JL.
And yes, spending two weeks with your family to say goodbye if you are planning to duck for a while is a good idea, specially when you are so close to them.
Let's just wait and hope... :D

Fanta,
You don't know if we'll never know!
Ugh, so confusing...
duckii
READ! Heres some interesting facts,
Michael Hutchence of INXS was born January 22,1960.
Sketchy or just cooincidenal.

Beware, it's kind of gross.
http://www.celebrityroyale.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/anna-nicole-smith-dead-vomit-nsfw1.jpg
http://danielmountain.com/liveleak/death/chris-farley_files/farley2.jpg and especially that one, DO NOT LOOK AT THAT PHOTO IF YOU ARE EASILY BOTHERED BY DEAD THINGS. IT IS VERY GROSS.
But they both died of drug overdose. So did Heath. There are NO PHOTOS of him in this state. It is not reported that he puked. Nothing. As I said, even if he is really dead, THERE IS SOMETHING MISSING.
Oh, and sorry for my bad spelling and english.
-Duckii
The picture of Anna Nicole was taken when she was still with us. She's actually just hamming it up for the camara.
Hamming it up?
I wouldn't be so sure.
Was Chris Farley holding a Rosary?
That's sad,he was probably praying that he would be okay, and he wasn't.
:(
Ry.
x
I watched the Critic's Choice Awards and i was so happy that Heath Ledger won it was really nice how much everyone applauded it was so sad im hoping hes still alive heres the video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uODd8ibHJzQ
Thanks for posting the video link. What an emotional moment. It just makes me want to hug him so tight, just so he never slips away. I just wish there was such a thing as a time machine.
Good to see more posts on here. I like keeping the spirit alive. Lets all hope.
Honestly though, if he was still alive, that would be a cruel joke you know?
Then again,he played the Joker.
I hope he is,i wouldn't care. People would probably be mad for about five seconds and that's about it.
When he was preparing for the joker role,he said he locked himself away for six months to come up with this character.
I wonder where he locked himself away at?
hmm
do you know what else thats odd out side his appartment was loads of people and newsreporters even before he was dead how did they know he was going to be dead or ill or hurt news cant spread that fast
-:S
-hannah
hmmm thats odd isnt it
-hannah
That's a really good point, Hannah. I forget where I read it, but somebody else said that too. It's not like he just collapsed on the sidewalk where everyone could see him. He was in his apartment, which is on the 4th floor I THINK. So how did they know that he was dead/dying?
-duckii
Oh, sorry for the double post, but I also found something out. It's official that TDK is going to be rereleasing January 23, 2009. Weird, huh? That one of his quotes said "When that happens, I'm going to drop dead and hibernate for a year..." and it will be a year after he died when the movie rereleases. AND the Oscar nominations have been moved to EXACTLY a year after he died. Suspicious....o:
-duckii
hey guys, i know its a stupid question but do you think heath vomited when he died? i don't know how a pill overdose looks like, and farley died of a heroin overdose or something so i can understand why his pictures looked so gruesome but was it the same for heath?
To the last post: I also wondered about this.It is no where reported that there was puke lying in his bed.And to Duckii, that's really a good point.Where did they know from he's dead before 'he' was taken out in this body bag?
Well even if nothing will happen on the oscars or in the third batman movie whatsoever I will still be proud of us that we are so open minded and tried to figure out what's wrong with all of this and didn't take everything the media says for serious. We are about 50 people who thought about this possibilty and googled it and that's how we came to this board.I wonder why we're the only ones.
-Fanta
Oops I meant to Hannah :)
-Fanta
PS.I though the drop dead and hibernate for a year part, began when he died. So technically, a year after he dropped dead, will be Oscar Nods night.
will he be back?
DUN DUN DUN
I think It only took 7 minutes for the paramedics to arrive. I read posts where it was mentioned being much quicker than the normal arrival time you'd expect if you live in a large city such as New York.
How do you think the media found out and were there so quick and new it was him? I wonder what the masseuse said on the phone to 911? "Heath Ledger isnt breathing? Maybe she didnt say a name, she probably just said someone,or my customer, isnt breathing?
I mean,how would they KNOW?
Not that there in on it because that would be impossible.
I think the Police tapes should be released.
One thing might be people listening to scanners that are tuned into police frequencies, if the address 421 Broome Street came across, the person listening might recoginize it, and start calling around to people they know, media included.
Sorry about the spelling. I meant recognize not recoginize. I had a brain cell misfire.
Why did Christopher Nolan say that Heath was one of the best actors they would PROBABLY ever have in the Critics choice awards? Is he giving us a clue?
Keep believing =D
Guys, thought you'd like to see it. Doesn't have to do with his death, but it's very cute.

I think that
1. They are acting since they either are actors or know what acting looks like or
2. they aren't in on it.
T.....
I thought this was interesting. It shows the reaction of some people a month before January 22,2008 to an article about the last movie Heath was working on.

The above link does not work :(

http://justjared.buzznet.com/2007/12/17/heath-ledger-hangs-himself/all-comments/#comments
If that link does not work; GOOGLE the words
to the title, "Heath Ledger Hangs Himself".
MATT
Ah! I wish..... :D
My Heart would stop beating. For 22 seconds :D

still have faith my heath ledger fans have faithh!!!!
I don't understand why Ledger's parents chit chat with People Magazine when their son died..There is no need to tell a magazine being proud.
They are not chitchatting, people magazine and the rest of those bozos keep harrasing his family for comments...I'd say, Kim and Sally have handled all this pretty well. :D
No they did not.Why still talk with the press when the celebrity is dead?
Something is up with the oscars. They will not announce any of the presenters until the ceremony...I am telling you, something is up...
Today I asked a friend of mine:(she doesn't know anything bout this board and stuff)
"What would you do if any dead celebrity would kind of come back? Say Like..."
-"Heath Ledger?"
- "Right.What would you do?"
-"I would get a heart attack and scream and be happy."
:) The Fans would love it.I'm sure.

NY Daily News, January 13, 2009
Last February, the NYPD sent Geberth a synopsis of evaluations by attendees which ranked his seminar as the most informative and insightful.

take a look at this guys!!!!
There's going to be a big surprise on the night of the Oscars
^^^^hey do you know anything^^^^
it would be mean but good, confusing but sense making, sad but happy!
-Fanta
*Believe me
-Fanta
There is always closure in life... If not for you then for others. Sometimes things don't turn out the way you expect or want them to. You will see this at the Oscars. The answers that people have been asking will be answered some will accept it others will not.
^^^^^^^^
Are you 7/27 guy?
-M
Thank You, M, this is very interesting.
3 More Days to go.
-Fanta
By any chance has anyone read any of the books that have been written about Heath. Also, what were your thoughts on them?
Hello! I'm Scarlett. I guess I'm not a 100% believer... But you can sign me in your list).
It's obvious that some facts about Heath's death are really strange...
I'm gonna read this board from the very beginning to learn more..
Quiet board much?
Yeah I would go an see it again. Twice. Maybe they put some extra footage in it?
-Fanta
They are going to rerelease Dark Knight in the theatres before the Oscars are announced. Maybe there's another clue in that..

tommorow :)
GUYS! i haven't been following this forum for a while so can someone maybe update me a bit? i haven't been on here since like 700 or so...but anyway if someone could update me that'd be great- i have just read an article about Heath in Entertainment- if anyone has it (black and white pic of Heath on the front and it says Heath Ledger The Untold Story) it's page 27-
Alexander: Heath liked to torture me, in a playful way. He'd say, "I'm going to disappear after The Dark Knight."
dot
I don't know about you guys, but a while back when the story came out that Michelle was hearing noises and saw a shadow in the house and she thought it was Heath's ghost, the first thing that came to my mind when I read that was "that was no ghost, that was him checking on Matilda".
that was a post by... someone idk a while ago but i agree and 2 more points that i'm bringing up once again
no tombstone
wrong name on his death certificate
sorry, just haven't been on here in a while as i said-i'm catching up, reading everything
dot
OHHH wait my bad this board isn't quiet,i just couldn't see the comments. Back to normal. So yea this is getting even stranger, but the more strange equals more hope that he is alive.i've been reading some pretty valid points.i just hope he comes back at the Oscars.that would be legit
that article said,"At this point, the Academy is willing to do anything to boost ratings."
Which caught my eye.
Hi, it's me -- the owner of the website.
check this out please!
geeez.
tomorrow is january 22..one year after, totally just realized.
dot
don't even pay attention to me i'm just catching up
dot
okay this forum is getting ridiculous. i've been here since the beginning and it used to be speculation and things but wow we're getting way off topic and far-fetched. ever since 7/27 it seems that people are stumbling across this blog, thinking to mess with us by TaLkInG like that. i think if it was 7/27, we would know. and frankly that whole "medium" thing sounds...ridiculous. anyone can get on here and claim anything, you know?
dot
what about johnny depp, jude law, and colin farrell donating money to matilda, if heath comes back. what are the 3 gonna do?
heath would have to show himself before oscars cause there is no way he could just sneak into the oscars on feb 22nd just like that. unless everyone knows which would be a very hard secret to contain
oh my gosh, i apologize for my stupidity i probably should not have posted until i read the whole thing-i'm never staying away from this forum for that long again. i'm finally up to date, though.
and i agree that if Heath staged his death, his family would probably be in on it.
geez. i'm sorry guys, ignore everything i said in the past three posts.
dot
phew..alright, i have an account now.
so guys couple hours to go.... i am very excited :)
T,,,,,
Wait - what? Somebody said a few posts back that the wrong name was on his death certificate - do you have proof of this? What name was actually on there? This is the first I've heard of this development....and the plot thickens..
http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/2008/03/08/2008-03-08_heath_ledger_assets_go_to_parents_siblin.html
Why does this say that his family spent $25,000 on a casket?? Cremated people don't need caskets...unless..maybe they bought one for a wake or something??? Argh! All of this madness...
NEWS: HEATH WAS NOMINATED FOR BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR IN THE OSCAR NOMINATIONS THIS MORNING!
He shall win this Academy Award.
The Dark Knight - Nominated for an Oscar SEVEN TIMES + Heath Ledger for Best Supporting Actor!
Hahahaha - YEAH!
http://www.oscar.com/nominees/?pn=nominees
-Fanta
But not in Best Pictures category :((
Samar
yeah I seriusly also wondered about that oO IMAX??
-Fanta
i just read the Australian news website
WAIT, he doesn't even want to win?
one more thing i though i would share from another blogger
MICHAEL BADEN - who fabricated evidence in John Kennedy's murder to make it seem Oswald killed Kennedy - was involved in the Heath Ledger autopsy and briefed the press. Baden is a cover-up artist. Recall that the initial reports on cause of death were weird. It was announced that the cause could not be determined - about 10 days before the examination was even completed.
Baden covers up CIA/Mafia/fascist-complex murders, and you expect unusual statements from an establishment medical bimbo in the act of concealing and inventing facts, his professional forté.
to 1/22/2009 1:44 PM
http://www.etonline.com/documents/hledger_deathcert_080327_et.pdf
i'm not sure anymore- it says his legal name is Heath Ledger and below it says aka's or aliases are Heath Andrew Ledger but i was for some reason under the impression that his legal name was Heathcliff Andrew Ledger...not sure, any thoughts?
and to 1/22/2009 2:53 PM, i also read something like that in the article about Heath in Entertainment magazine recently, but in that article it also said something about how Heath really loved the beginning scene of Dark Knight and how he knew he'd done something special..i have a feeling he might have wanted to win this particular one.
man i thought today would be the day everyone would be on here, it being january 22nd
hm, i noticed in his death certificate that it said burial instead of cremation... did the family just lie to the public or something? that's fishy.
hmm where does it say that? can't find it
I didn't see where it specifically says burial, but it does list 'Fremantle Cemetery' on there, and I don't see the logic in having a cemetery handle a cremation, because we had my mother cremated in 2002, and the whole thing was handled by the funeral home, the cemetery was never involved.
That's insane...wow...

.....

Nobody is allowed? hmmmmm
T.....
oh dot,i wish i knew what you said at 3:33PM.
Also, how about those Warner Brothers layoffs?
on the death certificate, there's an X on "burial", which is next to the cremation box. so he was buried, not cremated. if you want to see the death certificate, scroll up, it should be on this page.
<-- lazy
If he was buried... WHERE is the grave?
dot posted the death certificate, it's this:
http://www.etonline.com/documents/hledger_deathcert_080327_et.pdf
this is really sad
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bta7ekBJ0wA
why do you think he was so obsessed with Nick Drake?
on his death certificate it also said he lived in Los Angeles,California. When he clearly lived in New York on Broome St.
Yea they always said he was cremated, why would they check off burial.
This doesn't add up,still.
Hi guys,
Does anyone think there is something wrong with Ledger's death?
PS.wheres Deak,The Joker,Fanta,Dot been? :D
And to comment at 12:51PM, he wasn't nominated for best actor,it's supporting actor.Let's not give our hopes up though!
*oops* sorry I mean't to say Supporting Actor not Best Actor. My bad lol! still I won't give up hope either :D
-Fanta
Hey Fanta, I remember reading about that. Seemed strange at the time. It was valued at $70,000.00. For some reason it went "missing" and his father appealed for it to be returned. Heath loved that truck. He spent loads on restoring it. I wonder was it really stolen after all.
Oh BTW Happy Birthday! :D Did you get anything nice?
Yes Fanta,i posted the youtube link with his video for Nick Drake on youtube. It was pretty sad,he looks troubled. He always seems so sad.
Yeah, Like I said a HUGE Joker Poster and money :D BTW In Belgium a man dressed as the Joker killed a nurse and children :/ Pretty Sick.

LedgerHead is absolutely right, where is the emotion??
th screen actors awards are on hopefully he wins go heathhh love you man!!!!!

Yes but i remember that at some previous award show they did not show Heath either.... but i was happy that he won.
To the post that is above me: we already know about that web site :)

A year ago the Oscar memorial tribute was badly handled and very disappointing, but the BAFTA and SAG memorials were magnificent. Both of them saved Heath for last and put extra emphasis on him.

No mystery he was on it last year :p
He won Best Supporting Actor in the Screen Actors Guild!!!
Yay!! Next one is the Oscars!
Go Heath!!
"It's one of those deals where if I told you, I'd have to kill you," he says with a chuckle.

i wish i had the money to hire a private detective to just friggin' find out for us if the guy is dead or not.
^^^^
Please provide a link.
Maybe I'm sceptical!
xoxo

8.55pm I found a link with that comment on it ;-)
http://www.dissidentvoice.org/2008/01/on-the-death-of-heath-ledger/
I couldn't find anything on CNN. Maybe it was a sick hoax ;( I don't think Heath had a brother. I know he had 2 step sisters but not a brother. Especially not one that looked like him. I think that guy who posted the comments is a bit of an oddball. Hope that helps :D
bump
no one cares about Heath today?
haha
listen to this guys story pretty interesting
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0zcWvwrzWw
DON'T LOSE HOPE!
yea hes a pretty buff dude usually. he did look rather flat
Did anyone see that Max Koch guy impersonating the joker? well it's pretty legit. he could seriously be in TDK2 as the joker, that's unless Heath comes back from vacation in BC.
LOLOL
there the max koch guy omg this was amazing everyone look at this he is great
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iccq5jtWPUs
Bah, nothing like the original...
I totally agree with The Joker.
And to the person who wrote at 8:53 PM, it would be kind of cool if you had taken a picture of your dad wrapped up.
:)

hi, in this picture i pointed out something that caught my eye:

From TMZ...
Heath Ledger Life Insurance Case Settled
Posted Jan 29th 2009 12:10PM by TMZ Staff
Terms of the settlement are confidential.
to 11:18 AM, i totally agree with you, there is no way anyones ankles are that thin. hes not in that bag thats for sure.
look at these other pictures of dead bodies in body bags and compare...

holy shitttt, has anyone watched the trailer for the game batman: arkham asylum?? i wish mark hamill weren't old, he would have made a great joker and i bet heath would have loved this game:
http://www.newsarama.com/common/media/video/player.php?videoRef=NA_090130_batman_arkham
the best part of the trailer is the end, when the joker says it hasn't even begun.
Sorry for wandering from the subject.
-Fanta
now that i think about it, a decoy being in the body bag wouldn't be so surprising... i mean, it would explain why his head bounced when they rolled him off the curb. i remember there being a discussion about how his head would be too heavy to make such a movement but a decoy explains it... don't yell at me, i'm a believer and i hope to god he's still alive and secretly filming batman 3 with christopher nolan (that would be so cool and would explain nolan's absence). here's what i bet happened, they used a decoy and heath escaped through another exit! bwahaha, oh he's still in that darn apartment! i wouldn't doubt it.

yea he didn't have skinny legs either

PS DAM DIS BOARD IS DEAD!!!
I heard that Hugh Jackman will present the oscars :|

hmm(:
if you want a better understanding of heath and his troubles, i suggest you research him and nick drake, google it.
as for the faked death.
most of this is speculation and complete nonsense, reread most of the posts, and just think about them, and you'll realize how completely ridiculous this all is. only person who can get away with faking their own death, is someone living in the 1970s
look up a guy who recently tried to do it, it was all over the news recently. he faked a plane crash as an amateur pilot, parachuted out and ran off to his stash of shit miles away. um, no, he got caught and tracked down by the feds. as i said, there's too many paparazzi, too much evidence, too much technology, someone would know, someplace, somehow and someone would have already talked. there's no cult keeping some huge secret, no mystery, no big joke. you see meaning in things you want to see meaning in.
this is almost ridiculous as the third gunman scenario, but we all know jfk was shot by one guy, and the discovery channel proved that. look it up.
heath is dead, accidental overdose, RIP :[
Obviously this site is only made for those who belive the actor is NOT dead. That is a negation. If you have nothing better to do and love to discourage other people then you must be a very ignorant person. Do you even know what conspiracy means?
Heath Ledger's death is not very reliable to believe. One should not believe in the media. One should believe in logic and common sense in order to understand this.
Your immature post is both stupid and pitiful. I guess you probably live under a rock. Wheather or not Ledger is alive is still a mystery and you are not going to discourage people like that with your negative opinion.
To the 02/06/2006 6:12 AM anonymous post:

*edit* I meant I'm not shooting anyone down. Some people like that guy I quoted should think about what they say before posting.
Peace
H
^^^^^
I can see your point. Im keeping an open mind.
its okay, people believe and don't believe. its always good to think on both sides. thats an open mind. its just how rude some people can be about this, in a way i guess i can understand.
i believe
They were both at fault, the first one for saying the theories presented here are ridiculous and the second one for going into a rampage and insulting the first one. It happens every so often, no big deal. Now, why don't we all just forget about it and have a group hug? :D
hah *hug*
both are wrong, anyway.
I can only hope, pray and dream that you are all right..that he is alive, happy and enjoying life.
Heath won the Bafta last night for best supporting actor for TDK. I think he's going to win the Oscar too!!
yay!!
The Joker-
Funny with all that technology you speak of,they still haven't found Bin Laden.

heath ledger is alive.
Did you guys see this. It shows Heath learning to fly a plane. Maybe that was one escape route.

http://www.tmz.com/2009/02/19/ledgers-dad-thinking-about-an-oscar-speech/#comments
This is so discouraging... :(
^^^^
Yeah his family are going to accept the Award if Heath wins which he will. His dad is going to make the acceptance speech. Michelle will look after the Oscar until Matilda reaches 18. She will then inherit the Oscar.
no heath will take it :D
Uh no he won't. If you're expecting Heath to turn up on Sunday night you are in for an awful disappointment. His dad is going to accept the award for him. Heath isn't coming back. He's dead.
RIP
I hope he turns up ;( I miss him
DUDE HEATH IS GONNA TAKE IT AND GONNA SAY WHY SO SERIOUS WUT YOU THINK THIS WHOLE SECRET IS FOR THE OSCARS THEY ARE TAKING BIG RISK COME ON WILL SEE TOMM

THIS IS THE GUY WHO WRITES THE OSCARS COME ON MAN THESE HINTSS WHATS GONNA HAPPEN TOMM CANT WAITTT MY BLOG FAMILY
This is so exciting LOL. Ah it's almost here!! :D
I cant wait until tonight. There are so many clues out there!! Finally we will know! :D
