Really, what are the benefits of Vista? I should look this kind of thing up. I wonder if anyone is working on a compositer for XP. Is that even possible? I have heard that it is not.

Linux: "works" better (for me). Makes it easy to take screenshots of the desktop. Good terminal. "Seamless" sense of style between programs if you use all Gnome apps. Games are a pain in the ass, because they're designed to run in Windows. Compiz.
Windows: No package management. Horrible terminal. But, it has Picasa. I don't think F-Spot on Linux is as mature as Picasa. Picasa works. Picasa makes me WANT to use my digital camera more. Games "just work" in Windows.
On the other hand, I like the way Linux handles my digital camera connecting to the computer a little better.
Step 2: Marvel at how hard it is to do something as simple as taking a screenshot of the desktop
