"Wait, That Analogy Makes No Fucking Sense."

"No, I don't like Guitar Hero. I fucking hate it. [Why?] Why? Because Guitar Hero is for fakers. You have a guitar, right? [Uhh, yeah.] Can you play most of the basic chords? [Uhh, yeah.] Well, that's pretty much the same as playing Guitar Hero, right? [Well, yeah. I guess it is. You know how much I like games. I guess the novelty of being able to play the "guitar" as a game just struck me.] You got caught up in that shit. Like I said, Guitar Hero is for fakers. It's like being a porn star with fake tits.

Wait, that analogy makes no fucking sense.

It's like being a famous actress with fake tits."

This was me discussing Guitar Hero with a friend last night, 12/16/2006. I'm in the brackets. He's kind of right. The only reason I stopped fucking around with the guitar was those damned barre chords. That, and I have no real desire to get formal training on the instrument. I do not want to take lessons. If a friend wants to teach me shit, that's fine. But lessons I cannot really get into. I don't want to pay money to get lessons on something I'm not really serious about, when most of the information is out there anyway and I'm pretty sure that I can self-teach myself to a comfortable level; I've already made significant progress.

I played Guitar Hero for the first time last night.

Well, take your arguement anyway you want.

I was an avid DDR player for a few years. I can't dance, nor do I think I can dance. But I never played DDR so that one day I could dance because everyone knows that dancing is alot more than just putting your foot down on four different spaces.

But with Dance Dance Revolution, I saw guys do wall flips and hand and knee combos which really were dancing. I think the game is developed for the dreamers that can make sense of a video game but cant make sense of the complexities of a guitar. Playing a guitar or dancing comes with alot of wanted and unwanted attention. And I dont want either.

If anything, i'd want to play it just so I can improve my air guitar. I think it needs a tune-up.

Good point Bells.

I like the non-bitter perspective you bring to things!

P.S. - It's a fun game.

wait wait wait

someone is charging for Guitar Hero lessons? This is very very hilarious to me

me and one of my best friends, Logan, play Guitar Hero all the time because it is, in my opinion, the most fun co-op video game experience that exists. Especially after you play it for a while and get familiar with the guitar and can compete fairly well. There's a certain sense of satisfaction you get from practicing and building your skill level and nailing solos and completing the hardest songs and getting better on your own or with bits of help from a friend....the thought of paying for Guitar Hero lessons is just

is just, I mean,

No one is charging for Guitar Hero lessons, as far as I know.

I was talking about a regular guitar.
